Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

In today’s fast-paced world, our nervous systems are often stuck in fight-or-flight—constantly alert, with little opportunity to truly rest. CST offers a chance to slow down and reconnect with a more balanced, regulated state.

Using light, intuitive touch, this gentle and non-invasive approach supports the body’s innate ability to heal. Rather than “fixing” or forcing change, it creates space for long-held patterns of tension, stress, and dysfunction to unwind naturally.

By supporting the nervous system, craniosacral therapy helps ease physical discomfort, calm emotional tension, and foster clarity and resilience. Many clients leave sessions feeling more grounded, spacious, and connected.

If you’re experiencing TMJ or any tension in the jaw, difficulty with your airways/snoring, headaches, sinus pain, tinnitus, or had dental work recently, we may do part of our session working intraoral (inside of the mouth). This work is also done with very light touch and can be incredibly effective.

Because so many symptoms—both physical and emotional—stem from nervous system dysregulation, this work can have a wide range of benefits. It helps expand our capacity to meet life’s challenges with greater ease, supporting the body’s natural ability to activate when needed and return to rest when it’s time to restore.

  • Session length and frequency are always individualized and guided by your body’s needs

First Visit: 75 minutes is recommended. This allows time to evaluate and begin addressing your primary concerns. From there we can determine a treatment plan that best supports you.

Follow Ups: 60 min sessions may be sufficient, depending on what we’re working on and how your body’s responding. Some clients prefer longer sessions for more layered work.

Chronic Concerns: For long-standing patterns or nervous system dysregulation, more consistent care can be supportive. Weekly sessions for a period of time (often around a month) can be helpful, after which we can reasses and adjust frequency as your body integrates the work. Some clients benefit from continued regular work over a longer timeframe.

Maintenance: Once things feel more balanced, monthly session can be a wonderful way to support your body. Others choose to come more frequently or just as needed. There’s no one size fits all.

  • If you are experiencing TMJ or jaw tension, bruxism (teeth grinding), sinus or ear issues, have had a concussion recently, extensive dental work, or airway conditions—and are comfortable doing so—we will likely include intraoral work. I’ll wear a glove and be working with very light touch (think weight of a nickel) on your palate, teeth and jaw. Recommended length for these sessions is a minimum of 75 minutes, up to 90 minutes.

More than massage—precise, attuned and deeply focused work that invites unwinding and supports the nervous system and the whole body.

Integrative Massage

Each session is a personalized treatment designed to support the whole you.

Craniosacral therapy is the foundation of my practice, offering the nervous system an opportunity to settle so the body can more fully receive and integrate deeper fascial and muscular work.

Drawing from a blend of deep tissue, trigger point, and restorative Swedish techniques, sessions are shaped by what your body is communicating in the moment.

This is a collaborative process, guided by deep listening and clear communication. Sessions support release, balance, and reconnection honoring where you are while inviting ease and vitality into your daily experience.

“Alixandra gave me the best massage of my life. As a practitioner, she is intuitive, collaborative, and generous.”

— Ellen

“I’d never had cranial sacral work done before so I didn’t have a great idea of what to expect. Over the course of 90 minutes I had a total out of body experience and felt more relaxed than I can ever remember feeling. If you’re looking for an amazing cranial sacral practitioner in Santa Barbara, this is it.”

— Andy

“Alix is a healer. From the moment I stepped into her space, I felt transported. As someone who prefers very deep tissue work, I’ve often found that many therapists go deep without checking in, which makes my body tense up. Alix, however, is one of the most intuitive therapists I’ve ever worked with. She listened to my body and helped me find release through trigger point work in my hips and shoulders, addressing years-old injuries.”
